Code Visualizer is a browser extension that visually analyses the structure and rendering behaviour of webpages selected by the user.

Data Code Visualizer processes

When you activate Code Visualizer on a webpage, the extension may process website content including HTML elements, text, links, images, styles and rendering information. The Lazy diagnostic may also detect whether scrolling has occurred in order to identify content that loads or appears after scrolling.

How this data is used

This information is used solely to provide Code Visualizer's user-facing features, including HTML/CSS/JavaScript visualisation, rendering diagnostics, hidden-content detection, lazy-loading detection and No-JavaScript previews.

Local processing

Code Visualizer processes diagnostic information locally in your browser. Website content and diagnostic results are not sent to the developer's servers, sold, used for advertising or used to create user profiles.

Render Check and No-JavaScript Preview may request the current webpage from the same website you are already visiting in order to compare the initial HTML with the rendered page.

Local storage

Code Visualizer uses Chrome's local storage only to remember extension preferences such as whether the visualizer is enabled and which diagnostic modes are selected.

Data sharing

Code Visualizer does not sell user data or transfer user data to third parties for advertising, profiling or unrelated purposes.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Code Visualizer's use of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
